Sikkim

Literal meaning of Sikkim is “Happy Home”. In real sense also it is so because of its peaceful political situation and exceptional natural beauty.

In the year 1975 on 26th April Sikkim became part of India as a state. On its north there is Tibet and east Tibet and Bhutan. On the West there is Nepal. Thus it has immensely important state for security purpose. The importance is enhanced following starting of business through Nathula Pass with China. On its south there is Darjeeling district of West Bengal.

On one side of Sikkim you can see the most beautiful peaks of Himalayas like Kanchenjunga, Pandim, Narsingh, Kabru, Rathong, Sinolchu etc and on the other side lakes at high altitude like gurudongmar, Tsangu, Khechiperi lakes with their heavenly beauties. Famous monasteries like Roomtek, Pemiyanghshi, Ralong are worth visiting place of Sikkim.
